The live maps
Thirty times a day,
and almost nobody notices.
I was born in Sicily, one of the parts of Italy that shakes the most. As a child, earthquakes were something we talked about at home — Etna, the Plain of Catania (those are only examples, the list is longer) — and I thought about them a lot.
Then I found out that the ground moves about thirty times a day, and that almost none of those times does anyone notice. That isn’t reassurance: it’s a fact, and looking at it every day does something nobody had told me about — it takes away fear’s advantage, which is imagination.
The maps I broadcast live, day and night, come from there.
Then I tried doing the same thing with the news: take what the press of twenty-one countries writes about Italy, translate it, and line it up by time of publication. Choosing none of it — because it’s the choosing, not the news, that makes the story.

The first book started
as an outburst.
I was tired of seeing certain things. Of being on the receiving end of them, and being able to do nothing about it. Dismantling the New Age came out of that: a book written in anger, because certain truths, when they are convenient, are often not true.
What came afterwards — the videos, the reviews, Love and Liberation — is the same push, with more method. NuovaCoscienza isn't a brand I picked at a desk: it's the new consciousness I'm looking for, for myself, while I tell the story out loud.
I live in Sicily. Before all of this, I spent about twenty years on the phone, listening to people who had a problem. I think it shows in the way I write.
The work

I'd like to make a living from my own work. You have to start somewhere: I build sites for people who have neither the time nor the wish to do it themselves, and I bring twenty years spent listening to real customers.
